The Fellowship Center has developed unique and esthetically
enhancing plans for a much needed site in Oceanside, California.
Experience and positive recovery outcomes have demonstrated
that recovery homes are best suited to reside in neighborhood
settings; this ideal location is in a neighborhood area
close to bus lines and other community services. Participants
living in this new home will have the ability to become
part of the community once again after living in our recovery
home.
The Fellowship Center has stepped up to meet the need in Oceanside to serve those in the
throes of addiction to alcohol and other drugs. The City itself continues to undergo a vast and
positive plan to improve the quality of Oceanside living by renovating blighted areas, bringing in
new development adding to its tax base and making Oceanside a coastal gem that is attractive
to families, businesses and conventions.
Yet each year, hundreds of Oceanside residents need and want help from alcohol and drug
addiction. Currently there are 76 residential alcohol and drug treatment and recovery programs
that are licensed by the state department of alcohol and drug programs throughout several
cities in the County of San Diego. However there are no long-term residential recovery home
programs for men in Oceanside. The Fellowship Center's state of the art facility will answer this
need, contributing to the overall health, safety and quality of life in Oceanside.
